Russia's Foreign Ministry has labelled the appointment of Mikhail Drapaty as Ukraine's new commander-in-chief as an act of terrorism. Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik stated that during Drapaty's previous tenure, around 950 civilians were affected, with over one hundred fatalities.
