Delhi Police Denies CJP Protest Permit Citing Past Misconduct

Delhi Police stated that a protest permit was denied to CJP due to their past conduct. According to the police, during a previous permitted protest, laws were not followed, and the gathered crowd caused significant damage to government property through stone-pelting, arson, and violence. Section 163 of the BNSS was imposed in several areas of Delhi for law and order and security reasons. Under this provision, Abhijeet Deepke and two associates were detained for calling for a protest without permission.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने कहा कि CJP को उनके पिछले आचरण के कारण विरोध प्रदर्शन की अनुमति नहीं दी गई। पुलिस के अनुसार, पिछली अनुमत विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान, कानूनों का पालन नहीं किया गया था, और एकत्र हुई भीड़ ने पत्थरबाजी, आगजनी और हिंसा के माध्यम से सरकारी संपत्ति को काफी नुकसान पहुंचाया था। कानून और व्यवस्था तथा सुरक्षा कारणों से दिल्ली के कई इलाकों में BNSS की धारा 163 लगाई गई थी। इस प्रावधान के तहत, बिना अनुमति के विरोध प्रदर्शन का आह्वान करने के लिए अभिजीत दीपके और दो सहयोगियों को हिरासत में लिया गया था।
