Delhi Police Serve Notice Under DP Act To Abhijit Dipke at NCP-SCP Spokesperson's Home

Delhi Police served a notice under the Delhi Police Act (DP Act) to Abhijit Dipke, founder of CJP, who was staying at the residence of NCP-SCP spokesperson Anish Gawande. Section 29 of the DP Act empowers police officials of Inspector rank and above to issue oral or written directions to the public for maintaining public order. This includes controlling processions, determining routes and timings, preventing obstructions, and regulating music and loudspeakers. The notice was issued ahead of a planned Tiranga Yatra by CJP in Delhi.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने सीजेपी के संस्थापक अभिजीत दिपके को एनसीपी-एससीपी प्रवक्ता अनीश गॉवंडे के आवास पर दिल्ली पुलिस अधिनियम (डी.पी. एक्ट) के तहत एक नोटिस दिया। डी.पी. एक्ट की धारा 29 पुलिस अधिकारियों को इंस्पेक्टर रैंक और उससे ऊपर के अधिकारियों को सार्वजनिक व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए जनता को मौखिक या लिखित निर्देश जारी करने का अधिकार देती है। इसमें जुलूसों को नियंत्रित करना, मार्गों और समय का निर्धारण करना, बाधाओं को रोकना और संगीत व लाउडस्पीकर को विनियमित करना शामिल है। यह नोटिस दिल्ली में सीजेपी द्वारा नियोजित तिरंगा यात्रा से पहले जारी किया गया था।
