FIFA President Gianni Infantino has indicated that the football governing body will consider expanding the World Cup to 64 teams for the 2030 edition. This potential expansion aims to allow more nations to participate and fulfil their dreams of competing on the global stage. The current format features 32 teams, with a 48-team format already approved for 2026.
