Ex-Punjab AIG Rajjit Hundal Arrested in Fresh NDPS Case, Sent to 4-Day Remand

Dismissed AIG Rajjit Singh Hundal has been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Mohali in connection with a new NDPS case. A special court granted the ANTF his four-day police remand for further investigation. The agency alleges Hundal aided then-inspector Inderjit Singh in a 2017 case. Hundal was previously in judicial custody after his remand in a police-drug nexus case ended. The fresh case involves Hundal's alleged role in assisting Singh, who faced allegations of collusion with drug traffickers and extortion.
