AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has urged the Union government to arrange special aircraft to repatriate around 4,000 Umrah pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia. Many of these pilgrims are from economically weaker sections and cannot afford new tickets on Saudi Arabian airlines. Owaisi highlighted that travel agents have abandoned the pilgrims, who are stuck in Medina, Mecca, and Jeddah. He called upon Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju, S Jaishankar, and K. Ram Mohan Naidu to address the urgent situation. The call comes amidst ongoing attacks on aviation infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
