As Durga Puja concluded in Cuttack, Vijay Dashami celebrations focused on community bonding and traditional Odia meals. Puja committees prepared quintals of dahi pakhala, a cooling rice and curd dish, along with vegetable preparations, to offer to Goddess Durga. Thousands of devotees were served this humble meal after the deity was taken for immersion. This tradition, observed since 2005 at some mandaps, highlights the spirit of sharing food and community connection beyond the grand idols and decorations.
