Police in Mangaluru exhumed the body of an 86-year-old man on Friday, nearly three months after his burial, as part of a murder investigation. The body of Albert Rego was exhumed from the Derebail Church cemetery following court orders. Forensic officials collected samples for examination, with the postmortem expected to reveal the exact cause of death. An FIR was registered after a family friend suspected foul play and raised concerns against Rego's daughter, Maya Rego, alleging his death was not natural and his burial was done hastily.
