UP PET-2026 Exam Sees 68.8% Turnout; AI Flags 67 Candidates

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) concluded its Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2026, with 68.79% attendance recorded over three days. Out of 35.41 lakh registered candidates, 24.36 lakh appeared for the examination held across 60 districts. For the first time, AI-based facial recognition, Aadhaar authentication, and biometric verification were extensively used to ensure exam integrity. This multi-layered security framework, including CCTV surveillance and deployment of nearly 94,000 personnel, aimed to prevent irregularities.

उत्तर प्रदेश सबऑर्डिनेट सर्विसेज सेलेक्शन कमीशन (UPSSSC) ने तीन दिनों तक चली अपनी प्रीलिमिनरी एलिजिबिलिटी टेस्ट (PET)-2026 संपन्न कराई, जिसमें 68.79% उपस्थिति दर्ज की गई। 35.41 लाख पंजीकृत उम्मीदवारों में से 24.36 लाख ने 60 जिलों में आयोजित परीक्षा दी। परीक्षा की शुचिता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पहली बार AI-आधारित फेशियल रिकग्निशन, आधार ऑथेंटिकेशन और बायोमेट्रिक वेरिफिकेशन का बड़े पैमाने पर इस्तेमाल किया गया। CCTV निगरानी और लगभग 94,000 कर्मियों की तैनाती सहित इस मल्टी-लेयर्ड सुरक्षा ढांचे का उद्देश्य अनियमितताओं को रोकना था।
