Right-to-Recall Vote Held in Madhya Pradesh's Jeraon Khalsa Nagar Parishad

In a significant exercise of the Right-to-Recall, voters in Jeraon Khalsa Nagar Parishad, Niwadi district, Madhya Pradesh, cast their ballots to decide the fate of their Nagar Parishad President. A total of 61.52% of the registered 7,799 voters participated in the polling. The election was initiated after 12 out of 15 elected councilors submitted a proposal to remove President Kusum Pastore. The results of the vote, to be counted, will determine if Pastore continues in her position or faces removal.
