China Launches Three Satellites To Detect Radio Signals

Aaj Tak · technology

China has launched three new satellites, named Diting-01 A, B, and C, designed to detect and locate radio signals from space. Launched, via a Lijian-1 Y18 rocket, these satellites work in a group to pinpoint the origin of signals by measuring the time difference of their arrival. This technology, known as radio frequency sensing, can help track ships and other systems emitting radio waves, even if they are not visually detectable.
