Palamu Sand Ghats Auction Fetches Rs 26.5 Crore After Decade-Long Hiatus

Four sand ghats in Palamu have been e-auctioned for a combined Rs 26.58 crore, marking the revival of large-scale sand ghat auctions in the district after more than ten years. Thirteen bidders participated in the auction, with minimum bids set at Rs 1.29 crore each. Lalgarh fetched the highest bid at Rs 11.56 crore, followed by Misir Patra, Barwaiyya, and Kabra Kalan. These leases are for five years, though mining is prohibited annually from June 10 to due to National Green Tribunal regulations.

पलामू में चार बालू घाटों की ई-नीलामी 26.58 करोड़ रुपये में हुई है। इससे जिले में दस साल से ज़्यादा समय बाद बड़े पैमाने पर बालू घाटों की नीलामी फिर से शुरू हो गई है। नीलामी में तेरह बोलीदाताओं ने हिस्सा लिया, जिनकी न्यूनतम बोली 1.29 करोड़ रुपये प्रति घाट थी। लालगढ़ ने सबसे ज़्यादा 11.56 करोड़ रुपये की बोली हासिल की, इसके बाद मिसिर पात्रा, बरवैया और कबरा कलां का नंबर आया। ये पट्टे पांच साल के लिए हैं, हालांकि National Green Tribunal के नियमों के चलते 10 जून से हर साल खनन पर रोक रहेगी।
