Child Drowns in Madikeri Stream After Heavy Rains Increase Water Flow

A two-and-a-half-year-old child named Chahat drowned in the Choranahole stream near Aiguru village in Madikeri. The child was playing with his twin brother and cousin when he accidentally fell into the water. Heavy rains in nearby areas had caused the stream's water level to rise unexpectedly. Family members retrieved the child and took him to a government hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The funeral was held on Sunday.

मडिकेरी के ऐगुरु गांव के पास चोरानाहोले नाले में ढाई साल की एक बच्ची चहत डूब गई। बच्ची अपने जुड़वां भाई और चचेरे भाई के साथ खेल रही थी जब वह गलती से पानी में गिर गई। आस-पास के इलाकों में भारी बारिश के कारण नाले का जलस्तर अप्रत्याशित रूप से बढ़ गया था। परिवार के सदस्यों ने बच्ची को बाहर निकाला और सरकारी अस्पताल ले गए, जहां उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया गया। रविवार को उसका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया।
