Indian Rupee Declines 21 Paise Against US Dollar Amidst Global Market Strength
The Hindu - Business · business
The Indian rupee fell 21 paise to trade at 94.97 against the U.S. dollar in early Monday trade, primarily due to the broad strength of the American currency globally. Forex traders noted that a positive domestic market and softening crude oil prices provided some support, cushioning the decline. The rupee had previously closed at 94.76 against the dollar on Friday. India's foreign exchange reserves also saw a drop of $1.269 billion, reaching $719.748 billion in the week ending October 30.
