Kerala HC Orders CBI Further Probe Into Violinist Balabhaskar's Death

The Kerala High Court has directed the CBI to conduct a further investigation into the 2018 accident that killed violinist Balabhaskar and his daughter. The court set aside a magistrate's order declining further inquiry, noting the CBI's previous reinvestigation was casual and lacked expertise. Justice G. Girish ordered the CBI to assign an officer of Additional Superintendent of Police rank within two weeks. Balabhaskar's parents had challenged the magistrate's decision, highlighting suspicious circumstances surrounding the accident.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने CBI को 2018 में हुई उस दुर्घटना की आगे जांच करने का निर्देश दिया है जिसमें वायलिन वादक बालाभास्कर और उनकी बेटी की मौत हो गई थी। कोर्ट ने एक मजिस्ट्रेट के उस आदेश को रद्द कर दिया जिसमें आगे की जांच से इनकार कर दिया गया था, और कहा कि CBI की पिछली दोबारा जांच सतही थी और उसमें विशेषज्ञता की कमी थी। जस्टिस जी. गिरीश ने CBI को दो हफ्तों के भीतर एडिशनल सुपरिंटेंडेंट ऑफ पुलिस रैंक के एक अधिकारी को नियुक्त करने का आदेश दिया। बालाभास्कर के माता-पिता ने दुर्घटना के आसपास की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए मजिस्ट्रेट के फैसले को चुनौती दी थी।
