Serbia Criticizes Kosovo War Crimes Verdict

A Kosovo war crimes tribunal sentenced four former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders to a combined 81 years in prison for war crimes during the 1998-99 conflict. Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci received 25 years. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic criticized the verdict, stating the court failed to fully address crimes against Serbs and did not convict them of crimes against humanity. He suggested the court sought to protect the KLA's credibility.
