एक संसदीय समिति ने केंद्र सरकार से NEET UG मेडिकल प्रवेश परीक्षा के लिए तुरंत ऊपरी आयु सीमा और प्रयासों की संख्या तय करने की सिफारिश की है। यह सिफारिश तब आई जब यह पता चला कि ऐसे प्रतिबंधों की अनुपस्थिति के कारण 70 साल से अधिक उम्र के उम्मीदवार परीक्षा दे रहे हैं। समिति का मानना है कि इन सीमाओं की कमी मेडिकल सीटों के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा को प्रभावित करती है और JEE Advanced की तरह सख्त, पारदर्शी नियम लागू करने का सुझाव देती है।
