Dog Stranded For 20 Days Between Cliff And River Rescued In Nepal

A dog named Seti, stranded for 20 days on a narrow strip of land between a cliff and Nepal's Budhi Gandaki river, has been rescued. Two kayakers braved rain and strong currents to bring the animal to safety on Friday evening. Seti had been swept away by a flash flood on October 11 and survived on an isolated patch of land. A coordinated rescue effort involving local authorities, animal welfare groups, and residents was undertaken after initial attempts to airlift the dog failed. The successful rescue concluded a three-day effort.

नेपाल की बूढ़ी गंडकी नदी और एक चट्टान के बीच ज़मीन की एक पतली पट्टी पर 20 दिनों से फंसा सेती नाम का कुत्ता बचा लिया गया है। दो कयाकर्स ने शुक्रवार शाम को जानवर को सुरक्षित निकालने के लिए बारिश और तेज धाराओं का सामना किया। सेती 11 अक्टूबर को अचानक आई बाढ़ में बह गया था और एक अलग-थलग ज़मीन के टुकड़े पर जीवित था। कुत्ते को हवाई जहाज से निकालने के शुरुआती प्रयास विफल होने के बाद स्थानीय अधिकारियों, पशु कल्याण समूहों और निवासियों को मिलाकर एक समन्वित बचाव अभियान चलाया गया। सफल बचाव ने तीन दिवसीय प्रयास को पूरा किया।
