UP Deploys 34 Extra PAC Companies For Diwali Security Across 45 Districts

Uttar Pradesh police have deployed 34 additional companies of the PAC across 45 districts to bolster security during the Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals. This measure aims to manage the anticipated large crowds in markets, religious sites, and public areas. Key cities like Lucknow, Aligarh, and Varanasi will receive two companies each, while others get one. Police personnel's leaves have also been cancelled to ensure adequate staffing. Special security arrangements are also in place for Ayodhya and Chitrakoot.
