A man living in Canada had his ancestral land in Rajkot allegedly sold using a lookalike and forged documents. His sister, Hema Sakariya, filed a complaint after discovering foundation work on the plot. The accused reportedly used false affidavits and an impersonator to transfer 64.3 sq m of land, which was then resold. Vishal Sakariya, the owner, had moved to Canada in April 2023 and was unaware of the transaction. Police have registered a case of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy against the alleged perpetrators.
