Chitradurga Reserves Nearly Half of Panchayat Seats for Women

The Karnataka government has notified the reservation roster for upcoming zilla and taluk panchayat elections in Chitradurga district. Nearly half of the seats have been reserved for women, with 19 out of 37 zilla panchayat seats and 65 out of 125 taluk panchayat seats earmarked for them. Specific allocations were made for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and backward classes, with women receiving a significant portion of these reserved categories. This notification is expected to intensify political activity as parties prepare for the local body polls.

चित्रदुर्ग में पंचायत सीटों का लगभग आधा हिस्सा महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों के लिए अधिसूचना जारी

कर्नाटक सरकार ने चित्रदुर्ग जिले में आगामी जिला और तालुका पंचायत चुनावों के लिए आरक्षण रोस्टर की अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है। लगभग आधी सीटें महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित की गई हैं, जिनमें जिला पंचायत की 37 में से 19 सीटें और तालुका पंचायत की 125 में से 65 सीटें उनके लिए निर्धारित हैं। अनुसूचित जातियों, अनुसूचित जनजातियों और पिछड़ा वर्ग के लिए विशिष्ट आवंटन किए गए थे, जिसमें इन आरक्षित श्रेणियों में महिलाओं को महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा मिला। इस अधिसूचना से राजनीतिक गतिविधियां तेज होने की उम्मीद है क्योंकि पार्टियां स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों की तैयारी कर रही हैं।
