Kerala HC Dismisses Appeals of Pinarayi Vijayan and Others in CMRL Payoff Case

The Kerala High Court has dismissed writ appeals filed by Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter T. Veena, and son-in-law P.A. Mohamed Riyas. The appeals challenged a Single Judge's order directing the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau to register a First Information Report (FIR) concerning alleged financial transactions between CMRL and Exalogic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The Directorate of Enforcement had informed the State Police Chief about substantial information regarding money laundering. Vijayan faces accusations of criminal conspiracy and abusing his official position to gain illicit benefits between 2016 and 2020.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने विपक्ष के नेता पिनाई विजयन, उनकी बेटी टी. वीणा और दामाद पी.ए. मोहम्मद रियास की रिट अपीलों को खारिज कर दिया है। इन अपीलों में CMRL और Exalogic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. के बीच कथित वित्तीय लेनदेन के संबंध में प्रथम सूचना रिपोर्ट (FIR) दर्ज करने के सिंगल जज के आदेश को चुनौती दी गई थी। Directorate of Enforcement ने राज्य पुलिस प्रमुख को मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के संबंध में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी के बारे में सूचित किया था। विजयन पर 2016 और 2020 के बीच आपराधिक साजिश रचने और अवैध लाभ प्राप्त करने के लिए अपने पद का दुरुपयोग करने का आरोप है।
