Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that recruitment for approximately 1,600 vacant posts in the state police force will commence soon. The announcement was made on Police Commemoration Day, where Dhami also paid tribute to martyred police and paramilitary personnel. He highlighted the vital role of the police in internal security and the specific challenges faced in Uttarakhand due to its geography and natural disasters. Additionally, the operational budget for police stations will be doubled, and initiatives to upgrade facilities and enhance women's safety are planned.

उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने घोषणा की है कि राज्य पुलिस बल में लगभग 1,600 रिक्त पदों पर भर्ती जल्द ही शुरू होगी। यह घोषणा पुलिस स्मरणोत्सव दिवस पर की गई, जहाँ धामी ने शहीद पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक कर्मियों को श्रद्धांजलि भी दी। उन्होंने आंतरिक सुरक्षा में पुलिस की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका और उत्तराखंड के भूगोल और प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के कारण आने वाली विशिष्ट चुनौतियों पर प्रकाश डाला। इसके अतिरिक्त, पुलिस स्टेशनों के लिए परिचालन बजट दोगुना कर दिया जाएगा, और सुविधाओं को उन्नत करने तथा महिलाओं की सुरक्षा बढ़ाने की पहल की योजना है।
