Anupam Sinhal, co-founder of BookMyBai, revealed the platform's decade-long ban on Bollywood celebrities. The ban was instituted after multiple instances of mistreatment, including physical abuse and non-payment of fees. The final incident involved a celebrity burning a domestic worker with an iron. While a blanket ban remains for direct requests, exceptions are made for celebrities with proven respectful track records, based on trusted personal references. BookMyBai connects employers with domestic workers via a hyper-local marketplace app.
