Nashik Municipal Corporation earmarks Rs 15 crore for Junction Improvement Plan

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched a citywide Junction Improvement Plan (JIP) with an allocation of Rs 15 crore from the National Clean Air Programme. This initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion and enhance road safety across the city. In the first phase, 30 to 40 major junctions will be redesigned using scientific traffic-engineering measures. A technical consultant has been appointed to conduct surveys and prepare improvement plans according to Indian Roads Congress guidelines.

नाशिक म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (NMC) ने नेशनल क्लीन एयर प्रोग्राम से 15 करोड़ रुपये के आवंटन के साथ एक शहरव्यापी जंक्शन सुधार योजना (JIP) शुरू की है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य शहर भर में यातायात की भीड़ को कम करना और सड़क सुरक्षा को बढ़ाना है। पहले चरण में, 30 से 40 प्रमुख जंक्शनों को वैज्ञानिक यातायात-इंजीनियरिंग उपायों का उपयोग करके फिर से डिजाइन किया जाएगा। सर्वेक्षण करने और इंडियन रोड्स कांग्रेस दिशानिर्देशों के अनुसार सुधार योजनाएं तैयार करने के लिए एक तकनीकी सलाहकार नियुक्त किया गया है।
