Gujarat GST Revenue Surges 35% in September, Reflecting Economic Momentum

GST revenue experienced a significant jump of 35% in September compared to the same month last year, reaching Rs 8,167 crore. This growth highlights the state's robust economic momentum and improved tax compliance. For the first half of the current financial year, GST collections rose by 29%, totaling Rs 49,858 crore. State government spokesperson Jitu Vaghani attributed this upward trend to strong business activity across various commercial sectors, positioning Gujarat as a top-performing regional economy.
