Congress Alleges BJP Sought AIUDF Help

Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi claims the BJP panicked and sought help from AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal for the Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll. Gogoi stated that the Congress fielded former MLA Sibamoni Bora, a strong candidate, forcing the BJP to ally with AIUDF. He questioned the neutrality of the election process in Assam, citing the former district officer's entry into politics and called for Election Commission intervention.

असम कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष गौरव गोगोई का कहना है कि बीजेपी घबरा गई और नगांव लोकसभा उपचुनाव के लिए AIUDF चीफ बदरुद्दीन अजमल से मदद मांगी। गोगोई ने बताया कि कांग्रेस ने पूर्व MLA सिबामणि बोरा को उतारा, जो एक मजबूत उम्मीदवार हैं, जिससे बीजेपी को AIUDF से गठबंधन करना पड़ा। उन्होंने असम में चुनाव प्रक्रिया की निष्पक्षता पर सवाल उठाए, पूर्व जिला अधिकारी के राजनीति में आने का हवाला दिया और चुनाव आयोग से हस्तक्षेप की मांग की।
