Army Doctors Restore Sight to 220 People Near

Army doctors led by Brigadier Sanjay Mishra have restored sight to 220 people in Karnah, Jammu and Kashmir, near the Line of Control. The surgeries were performed over two days inside an underground operation theatre as part of Operation Drishti. Most procedures were cataract surgeries, with some patients also receiving retinal and glaucoma treatments. This initiative brought much-needed advanced eye care to a remote region with limited access to specialized healthcare, significantly impacting the lives of elderly villagers.

ब्रिगेडियर संजय मिश्रा के नेतृत्व में सेना के डॉक्टरों ने नियंत्रण रेखा के पास जम्मू-कश्मीर के करनाह में 220 लोगों की आँखों की रोशनी वापस लाई है। ऑपरेशन दृष्टि के तहत दो दिनों तक भूमिगत ऑपरेशन थिएटर में ये सर्जरी की गईं। ज़्यादातर मोतियाबिंद के ऑपरेशन थे, कुछ मरीज़ों को रेटिना और ग्लूकोमा का इलाज भी मिला। इस पहल से दूरदराज के इलाके में ज़रूरी आँखों की उन्नत देखभाल पहुंची, जिससे बुजुर्गों के जीवन पर बड़ा असर पड़ा।
