The highly anticipated nonstop drive between Delhi and Mumbai, facilitated by the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, is now expected to be operational by December 2029. This marks a significant delay from the original deadline, with work on three sections totaling approximately 90 km in Gujarat yet to commence. These sections faced contract termination due to non-performance, leading to fresh bidding processes. Officials are confident that construction on these stretches will take around two years, with other pending sections in Maharashtra and Rajasthan slated for completion by April 2027.
