Delhi recorded its lowest minimum temperature in 18 years on Sunday, hitting 21 degrees Celsius, which is three notches below normal. This early winter-like morning is attributed to cool winds and heavy rain in adjoining states and northern India. The Safdarjung station recorded the second-lowest minimum temperature for September since 2001. While the minimum temperature is expected to rise, the city's air quality also improved to the 'satisfactory' category.
