Karnataka Man Kidnapped, Tortured For Four Days Over Rs 70,000 Loan

A 24-year-old man in Karnataka's Haveri district was allegedly kidnapped and brutally tortured for four days after failing to repay the interest on a Rs 70,000 loan. The victim, Manikanta Halli, was beaten with wooden logs and pipes, burned with cigarettes, and subjected to further humiliation. He managed to escape and filed a police complaint. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the incident, with four individuals named as accused. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a district hospital.

कर्नाटक के हावेरी जिले में 24 साल के एक युवक को 70,000 रुपये के कर्ज का ब्याज न चुका पाने पर कथित तौर पर चार दिनों तक अगवा कर बेरहमी से पीटा गया। पीड़ित, मणिकांत हल्ली को लकड़ी के लट्ठों और पाइपों से पीटा गया, सिगरेट से जलाया गया और आगे भी अपमानित किया गया। वह भागने में सफल रहा और पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई। पुलिस ने FIR दर्ज कर ली है और मामले की जांच कर रही है, जिसमें चार लोगों को आरोपी बनाया गया है। पीड़ित को वर्तमान में जिला अस्पताल में इलाज चल रहा है।
