India has urged the United Nations to establish a legally binding international instrument to prevent an arms race in outer space, emphasizing that space should be a domain for cooperation, not conflict. Speaking at the UN General Assembly, MP Sudha Murty stated that outer space belongs to all humanity and highlighted India's developmental and security interests in its space program.
