Ola Electric Founder Pledges Shares Again For AI Venture

Bhavish Aggarwal has again pledged Ola Electric shares to raise funds for his AI company, Krutrim Data Centre. This time, 20 crore shares (4.32%) were pledged against non-convertible debentures, a larger amount than a previous pledge in late 2024. Ola Electric stated the pledge is to fund Aggarwal's subscription to an upcoming ₹1,000 crore rights issue, not for selling shares. Investors view repeated pledging and clearing as a potential sign of financial stress for the promoter or related entities.
