STF Seizes Over 19,000 Codeine Syrup Bottles

The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested three individuals in Prayagraj for their involvement in a large-scale codeine-based cough syrup trafficking network. Authorities seized over 19,300 bottles of illegal codeine syrup and numerous generic drug tablets, valued at approximately Rs 1 crore. The operation also led to the confiscation of a car and other valuables. This bust is part of a crackdown on an interstate drug distribution ring supplying narcotics from states like Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.

स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (एसटीएफ) ने प्रयागराज में तीन लोगों को पकड़ा है जो बड़े पैमाने पर कोडीन-आधारित कफ सिरप की तस्करी के नेटवर्क में शामिल थे। अधिकारियों ने 19,300 से ज़्यादा अवैध कोडीन सिरप की बोतलें और कई जेनेरिक दवा की गोलियां जब्त कीं, जिनकी कीमत करीब 1 करोड़ रुपये है। इस कार्रवाई में एक कार और अन्य कीमती सामान भी जब्त किया गया। यह बड़ी कार्रवाई दिल्ली और हिमाचल प्रदेश जैसे राज्यों से नशीले पदार्थों की आपूर्ति करने वाले अंतरराज्यीय ड्रग वितरण गिरोह के खिलाफ चल रही कार्रवाई का हिस्सा है।
