Uttar Pradesh has launched its Solar Energy Policy 2022, aiming to achieve 22,000 megawatts of solar capacity by fiscal year. The policy outlines targets for utility-scale projects at 14,000 MW, residential rooftops at 4,500 MW, and non-residential rooftops at 1,500 MW. It also includes 2,000 MW for distributed solar under PM-KUSUM components. The framework supports various solar applications, including utility-scale plants, rooftop systems, agricultural solarisation, and manufacturing, to boost renewable energy contribution and reduce fossil fuel dependence.

उत्तर प्रदेश ने अपनी सोलर एनर्जी पॉलिसी 2022 लॉन्च की है, जिसका लक्ष्य वित्त वर्ष 2027 तक 22,000 मेगावाट सौर क्षमता हासिल करना है। इस पॉलिसी में यूटिलिटी-स्केल प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए 14,000 मेगावाट, आवासीय छतों पर 4,500 मेगावाट और गैर-आवासीय छतों पर 1,500 मेगावाट का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इसमें PM-KUSUM के तहत वितरित सौर ऊर्जा के लिए 2,000 मेगावाट भी शामिल है। यह फ्रेमवर्क नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के योगदान को बढ़ावा देने और जीवाश्म ईंधन पर निर्भरता कम करने के लिए यूटिलिटी-स्केल प्लांट, रूफटॉप सिस्टम, कृषि सौर ऊर्जाकरण और विनिर्माण सहित विभिन्न सौर अनुप्रयोगों का समर्थन करता है।
