Delhi Building Collapse Kills Two; CM Orders Inquiry, FIR Against Contractor

A three-storey building under construction collapsed in Chawri Bazar, Old Delhi, killing two people and injuring four. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered an inquiry into the incident and directed the registration of an FIR against the contractor. The chief minister also ordered the immediate suspension of the concerned junior engineer and assistant engineer. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has suspended two junior-level officials, citing negligence. Rescue operations are underway, with fears that more people may be trapped.

पुरानी दिल्ली के चांदनी चौक में तीन मंजिला निर्माणाधीन इमारत गिरने से 2 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 4 घायल हो गए। दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने घटना की जांच के आदेश दिए हैं और ठेकेदार के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज करने का निर्देश दिया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने संबंधित जूनियर इंजीनियर और सहायक इंजीनियर को तत्काल निलंबित करने का भी आदेश दिया। नगर निगम दिल्ली ने लापरवाही के आरोप में दो जूनियर स्तर के अधिकारियों को निलंबित कर दिया है। बचाव अभियान जारी है, और आशंका है कि और भी लोग फंसे हो सकते हैं।
