BJP Launches First Official Labour Union At Kolkata Airport

The Bengal BJP has announced the formation of its first official trade union, the NSCBI Airport Contractors Workers Morcha, at Kolkata airport. This union will represent contractual workers employed in housekeeping and cleaning services. With its formation, other unions previously controlled by Left and INTTUC have reportedly been dissolved. BJP leaders stated this move aims to ensure workers' rights and dues are addressed when the party is in power. They plan to expand this initiative to other locations soon, focusing on medical insurance and job security for workers.

पश्चिम बंगाल बीजेपी ने कोलकाता एयरपोर्ट पर अपने पहले आधिकारिक ट्रेड यूनियन, NSCBI एयरपोर्ट कॉन्ट्रैक्टर्स वर्कर्स मोर्चा, के गठन की घोषणा की है। यह यूनियन हाउसकीपिंग और सफाई सेवाओं में लगे ठेका मजदूरों का प्रतिनिधित्व करेगी। इसके गठन के साथ ही, कथित तौर पर लेफ्ट और INTTUC द्वारा नियंत्रित अन्य यूनियनों को भंग कर दिया गया है। बीजेपी नेताओं ने कहा कि इस कदम का उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि जब पार्टी सत्ता में हो तो मजदूरों के अधिकारों और बकाए का ध्यान रखा जाए। वे जल्द ही अन्य स्थानों पर भी इस पहल का विस्तार करने की योजना बना रहे हैं, जिसमें मजदूरों के लिए मेडिकल बीमा और नौकरी की सुरक्षा पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा।
