Jamshedpur to Get Air, Noise Monitors Ahead of Diwali

The Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) will install air and noise pollution monitoring devices at 10 locations in Jamshedpur and Adityapur. This initiative aims to assess the impact of firecracker bursting on air quality and ambient noise levels during Diwali. The real-time readings will be compared with permissible limits and last year's data. Last Diwali saw PM10 concentrations over three times the national standard and peak noise levels exceeding 107 dB(A). Violators will face strict legal action.

झारखंड स्टेट पॉल्यूशन कंट्रोल बोर्ड (JSPCB) जमशेदपुर और आदित्यपुर में 10 जगहों पर हवा और शोर प्रदूषण की निगरानी करने वाले उपकरण लगाएगा। इस पहल का मकसद दिवाली के दौरान पटाखों से हवा की गुणवत्ता और आसपास के शोर के स्तर पर पड़ने वाले असर का पता लगाना है। रियल-टाइम रीडिंग की तुलना तय सीमा और पिछले साल के डेटा से की जाएगी। पिछले दिवाली पर PM10 का स्तर राष्ट्रीय मानक से तीन गुना ज्यादा था और शोर का पीक लेवल 107 dB(A) से ऊपर चला गया था। नियम तोड़ने वालों पर सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई होगी।
