Ahmedabad Approves 7km Road For Sports Arena Ahead Of Commonwealth Games

AUDA has approved the construction of a new 36-metre-wide, 7-km-long road to provide direct connectivity to the South West Ahmedabad Sports Arena (SWASA). This development is crucial as Ahmedabad prepares to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030. The new road will connect SWASA to the SP Ring Road, significantly reducing travel time and bypassing a problematic railway underpass prone to waterlogging. Additionally, over 5 lakh square metres of land along the proposed road will be rezoned from agricultural to residential use to support future development.

AUDA ने साउथ वेस्ट अहमदाबाद स्पोर्ट्स एरीना (SWASA) तक सीधी कनेक्टिविटी देने के लिए 36 मीटर चौड़ी, 7 किमी लंबी नई सड़क के निर्माण को मंजूरी दे दी है। यह विकास महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि अहमदाबाद 2030 में कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स की मेजबानी की तैयारी कर रहा है। नई सड़क SWASA को SP रिंग रोड से जोड़ेगी, जिससे यात्रा का समय काफी कम हो जाएगा और जलभराव की समस्या वाले एक रेलवे अंडरपास से बचा जा सकेगा। इसके अतिरिक्त, प्रस्तावित सड़क के किनारे 5 लाख वर्ग मीटर से अधिक भूमि को भविष्य के विकास का समर्थन करने के लिए कृषि से आवासीय उपयोग में बदला जाएगा।
