TCG to Invest Rs 10,000 Crore More in Haldia Petrochemicals

The Chatterjee Group (TCG) announced plans to invest an additional Rs 10,000 crore in downstream projects at Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd (HPL). This follows the inauguration of a new phenol and acetone plant, a Rs 6,000 crore project by TCG subsidiary Adperma. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari stated the investment aims to boost self-reliance and align with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. TCG also expressed interest in setting up a data centre in the state, with the government assuring cooperation.

चैटरजी ग्रुप (TCG) ने हल्दिया पेट्रोकेमिकल्स लिमिटेड (HPL) में डाउनस्ट्रीम प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए ₹10,000 करोड़ के अतिरिक्त निवेश की योजना की घोषणा की है। यह TCG की सहायक कंपनी एडपरमा द्वारा ₹6,000 करोड़ की लागत से बने नए फिनोल और एसीटोन प्लांट के उद्घाटन के बाद आया है। मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने कहा कि इस निवेश का लक्ष्य आत्मनिर्भरता को बढ़ावा देना और 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' पहल के साथ तालमेल बिठाना है। TCG ने राज्य में डेटा सेंटर स्थापित करने में भी रुचि दिखाई है, और सरकार ने सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया है।
