NBA 2K Gameplay Director Mike Wang Not Fired, Viral Statement Debunked

Hindustan Times · technology

A viral social media statement claiming NBA 2K Gameplay Director Mike Wang was fired by Visual Concepts has been fact-checked and found to be a hoax. The fabricated statement, mimicking official NBA 2K announcements, circulated after Wang briefly deactivated his X account amid backlash over NBA 2K27 gameplay. However, neither NBA 2K nor Visual Concepts released such a statement. Wang's X and LinkedIn profiles still list him as Gameplay Director, and his X account is now active again.
