जनवरी 2023 में स्वीकृत उत्तर प्रदेश आबकारी नीति 2023-24, 31 मार्च 2024 तक राज्य के शराब उद्योग को नियंत्रित करती थी। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य 45,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के आबकारी राजस्व का लक्ष्य रखते हुए मादक पेय पदार्थों के उत्पादन, वितरण और खुदरा बिक्री को विनियमित करना था। नीति में लाइसेंसिंग, ब्रांड पंजीकरण और अवैध शराब के खिलाफ प्रवर्तन शामिल था। इसे अब 2024-25 की नीति द्वारा प्रतिस्थापित कर दिया गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि व्यवसायों को अब लाइसेंसिंग और शुल्क संबंधी मामलों के लिए वर्तमान ढांचे का संदर्भ लेना होगा।
