Tirupati Receives Heavy Rainfall Amidst Low Pressure Formation

Tirupati district experienced significant rainfall in the 24 hours leading up to Wednesday morning, with Tada recording 109.8 mm. This rainfall was over eight times the normal for the district. A low-pressure area has formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast. The India Meteorological Department forecasts thunderstorms with lightning in several districts and strong winds across the state until Saturday. Isolated light to moderate rain is expected through October 27.

बुधवार सुबह तक पिछले 24 घंटों में तिरुपति जिले में भारी बारिश हुई, जिसमें ताडा में 109.8 मिमी दर्ज की गई। यह बारिश जिले के सामान्य से आठ गुना से भी ज़्यादा थी। दक्षिण-पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी में तमिलनाडु तट से दूर एक लो- प्रेशर एरिया बन गया है। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने शनिवार तक कई जिलों में गरज के साथ बिजली गिरने और पूरे राज्य में तेज हवाएं चलने का अनुमान जताया है। 27 अक्टूबर तक हल्की से मध्यम बारिश की उम्मीद है।
