DoorDash Pays $131.5M Over NYC Worker Underpayments

DoorDash has agreed to a $131.5 million settlement with New York City to resolve a probe into its worker pay practices. The company admitted to underpaying or paying late over 200,000 delivery workers, known as Dashers, for more than three years. Over $115 million of the settlement will be distributed directly to these workers. The agreement also addresses how DoorDash calculated pay for time spent logged into the app between deliveries.
