ePlane Company Aims for Airport Transit & Intra-City Commutes with eVTOL Aircraft

The ePlane Company, an IIT-Madras based startup, plans to commercialize its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for airport-to-airport transit and intra-city commutes. They have signed an MoU with Noida International Airport to establish trial run spaces, vertiports, and charging stations. The company also aims to develop regulatory frameworks and operational ecosystems for its e200X aircraft, including air ambulance services. ePlane has a manufacturing facility in Chennai and targets an initial scale of 80 aircraft by 2028.

IIT-Madras आधारित स्टार्टअप, ePlane कंपनी, अपने इलेक्ट्रिक वर्टिकल टेक-ऑफ और लैंडिंग (eVTOL) विमान को एयरपोर्ट से एयरपोर्ट ट्रांजिट और शहर के अंदर सफर के लिए व्यावसायिक रूप से पेश करने की योजना बना रही है। उन्होंने ट्रायल रन स्पेस, वर्टीपोर्ट और चार्जिंग स्टेशन स्थापित करने के लिए नोएडा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। कंपनी का लक्ष्य अपने e200X विमान के लिए नियामक ढांचे और परिचालन पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र विकसित करना भी है, जिसमें एयर एम्बुलेंस सेवाएं भी शामिल हैं। ePlane के पास चेन्नई में एक विनिर्माण सुविधा है और इसका लक्ष्य 2028 तक 80 विमानों के शुरुआती पैमाने का उत्पादन करना है।
