China's Top 10 Cars Are Electric In August

China's best-selling cars in August 2026 saw battery electric vehicles (BEVs) dominate the top 10, occupying nine spots. Only one plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) made the list, with no pure petrol cars ranking among the top sellers. The Geely EX2 led sales with 39,651 units, followed by Leapmotor A10 and Tesla Model Y. This contrasts sharply with India's market, where ICE vehicles still predominantly feature in the top sellers.

अगस्त 2026 में चीन में सबसे ज़्यादा बिकने वाली टॉप 10 कारों में बैटरी इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल (BEVs) का दबदबा रहा। इनमें से नौ गाड़ियाँ BEV थीं। सिर्फ़ एक प्लग-इन हाइब्रिड इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल (PHEV) लिस्ट में जगह बना पाई, जबकि पेट्रोल गाड़ियाँ टॉप सेलर में शामिल नहीं हुईं। Geely EX2 39,651 यूनिट्स के साथ सबसे आगे रही। इसके विपरीत, भारत में अब भी पेट्रोल गाड़ियाँ ही ज़्यादा बिक रही हैं।
