Kolkata Municipal Corporation Resumes Food Safety Drive Ahead of Durga Puja

Kolkata Municipal Corporation food safety inspectors have resumed their drive, visiting eateries in Hatibagan and Phoolbagan areas. They collected samples and issued instructions on food storage and labeling. Inspectors discarded rotten food and expired items found at some restaurants. The KMC plans to continue these drives leading up to and during Durga Puja. The initiative has highlighted widespread hygiene lapses, including pest infestation and improper storage, leading to temporary license suspensions for several establishments.

कोलकाता नगर निगम के खाद्य सुरक्षा निरीक्षकों ने हातीबागान और फूलबागान इलाकों में भोजनालयों का दौरा कर अपना अभियान फिर से शुरू कर दिया है। उन्होंने नमूने एकत्र किए और खाद्य भंडारण और लेबलिंग पर निर्देश जारी किए। निरीक्षकों ने कुछ रेस्तरां में सड़ा हुआ भोजन और एक्सपायर्ड सामान पाया और उसे फेंक दिया। केएमसी दुर्गा पूजा से पहले और उसके दौरान इन अभियानों को जारी रखने की योजना बना रहा है। इस पहल ने कई प्रतिष्ठानों के लिए अस्थायी लाइसेंस निलंबन के कारण, कीटों का संक्रमण और अनुचित भंडारण सहित व्यापक स्वच्छता की कमी को उजागर किया है।
