Bombay HC Scraps Disputed Wushu Trials, Orders Fresh Selection

The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has cancelled the September Wushu selection trials due to alleged irregularities. The court has ordered fresh trials to be held-24 under an independent expert committee. The joint director of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Pune, will oversee the process to ensure transparency and fairness. Players selected through these new trials will represent Maharashtra at the national championships. The court emphasized that athletes' interests must be paramount, ensuring they do not lose opportunities due to administrative disputes.

बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट की औरंगाबाद पीठ ने कथित अनियमितताओं के कारण सितंबर में हुई वुशु चयन ट्रायल को रद्द कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने एक स्वतंत्र विशेषज्ञ समिति के तहत 24 नई ट्रायल आयोजित करने का आदेश दिया है। पुणे स्थित खेल और युवा सेवा निदेशालय के संयुक्त निदेशक इस प्रक्रिया की निगरानी करेंगे ताकि पारदर्शिता और निष्पक्षता सुनिश्चित हो सके। इन नई ट्रायल के माध्यम से चुने गए खिलाड़ी राष्ट्रीय चैंपियनशिप में महाराष्ट्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे। कोर्ट ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि खिलाड़ियों के हितों को सर्वोपरि रखा जाना चाहिए, यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि वे प्रशासनिक विवादों के कारण अवसर न खोएं।
