A Flydubai flight en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted over Saudi Arabia on Wednesday after signalling an emergency. The aircraft initially transmitted the international emergency code 7700, followed by code 7500, which indicates hijacking or unlawful interference. Israeli Air Force fighter jets were scrambled towards the plane, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held emergency consultations. The flight, carrying approximately 180 passengers, was expected to land in Saudi Arabia for further assessment of the situation.
