मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने तमिलनाडु पुलिस से RSS के मार्ग मार्च की अनुमति बार-बार न देने पर सवाल उठाए। जस्टिस वी. लक्ष्मीनारायणन ने कहा कि अगर RSS जम्मू और कश्मीर जैसे आतंकवाद प्रभावित इलाकों में मार्च कर सकती है, तो उसे तमिलनाडु में भी इसकी अनुमति मिलनी चाहिए। कोर्ट ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार नागरिकों को दुश्मन मानती है, जो अनुमति नहीं दे रही है। RSS को अनुमति के लिए हर साल कोर्ट जाना पड़ता है, जो सार्वजनिक जुलूसों और पुलिस की मंजूरी की प्रक्रिया के साथ एक आवर्ती समस्या को दर्शाता है।
